The Ember Table was opened in 2019 by Executive Chef Daniel Voss, a classically trained chef with stints at award-winning kitchens in New York and Philadelphia. After years in high-pressure fine dining environments, Daniel wanted to open something that was excellent without being pretentious — a place where neighbors would come in on a Tuesday just because they felt like it.
The wood-fired kitchen was the cornerstone of the concept from day one. Daniel believed that open-flame cooking brought a honesty to food that no other technique could replicate — the char, the smoke, the caramelization you only get from fire. The kitchen was built around a custom-fabricated wood-burning hearth that sits at the heart of the dining room.
Today The Ember Table is a fixture in the neighborhood. We source from seven local farms and partner with three regional vineyards for our wine list. Our menu changes every season, and we close each Monday to give our team genuine time off.
